tomorrow [or today!]

I'm beginning a winter-break diet/exercise regimen!! too bad I'm sick now... the exercising part will happen once I can breathe without wheezing.

I'm a failure at this blog.

okay. once finals are over and done with, I'm going home, where I plan to work out a lot. I want to continue that once I get back to school. current initiatives for myself:
- continue eating grapefruit! [I started about a month ago, hated it for 2 days, and then got used to it and now it's great.]
- stop eating bagels
- WORK OUT

okay

so my challenge failed . . like after a day. haha. but I really need to get down to business with this, so here are my next goals to implement gradually:

1. don't get dessert at the ratty for 1 week
2. stop getting ginger ale for breakfast . . it IS a waste of calories
3. don't eat after 10 p.m. . . excludes certain weekend issues

yup! challenges start . . now! [except for 3, which starts sunday.] ;)

breakfast

okay, I am going to evaluate what I've been having for breakfast almost every day:
- one english muffin with 1 tbsp. peanut butter and 1 tbsp. jam = 120 kcal + 90 kcal + 30 kcal = 240 kcal
- four egg whites = 100 kcal
- today, I had a banana = 100 kcal
which gives 440 kcal for breakfast. not small, but not disastrous.

goal for this week:

don't take desert at the university dining venue for the next week.

start: now.

first post

okay!! hi! the point of this blog [as you might have guessed] is to reverse the trend of the freshman 15 and actually lose weight my first year in college. over the last half of the summer, I started losing weight and really liked the results, but now that I'm at school I can see it all coming back and don't want this to go any farther. hence, I thought I'd at least try to diligently keep track of my food consumption and activity. this is going to be an embarrassing blog, but oh wellz. hopefully it will help!
